It will be recalled that, sometimes in August, year 2024, our capacity DG, Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi , (DAM), the Director-General of Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) alongside the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo, inaugurated the construction of a gigantic Barefoot Renewable Energy College at CUSTECH, Osara, Kogi State.
Personally, I have kept a close watch with the level of progress of work at the said construction site and I am happy to announce to the members of the general public that, as at today, the 15th day of June, 2026, upon my own assessment visit to the said site, the said gigantic project (physical structure) has been completed.
It's no doubt the fact that, this gigantic project once commissioned and being put to use, aside the fact that, it will create an enabling environment for our students in renewable energy-related courses, additionally, it will create countless of job opportunities for the good people of Kogi State and even beyond.
This gigantic project sponsored by DAM is just one out of several projects that he has embarked on which have the capacity of having both direct and indirect impacts on the lives of our people and the general development of our society.
I pray that, almighty God will continue to protect him, guide him, elevate him and increase him in both wisdom and sound health, Aamin thuma aamin.
