The competion, which was held on September 20, in Okene town hall, Kogi state, was attended by prominent politicians, royal fathers, principals and teachers from various secondary schools in Kogi Central of the state
The chairman of the occasion, the district head of Okene, His Imminence, Alhaji Muritala Inakakana, commended OSSC family by lauding the initiative as a change mantra for learning and capacity building. He charged the students to remain committed, dedicated and disciplined in acquiring the western education as best instrument to developing the society, adding that Ododo/Joel Ticket are the candidates to vote in the coming gubernatorial election in the state for continuity and sustainability of good governance.
In his address, the OSSC team leader, Comr. Umar Abduljelil Adabara, disclosed that the quizz competition was a robust debate with selected topics from economy, government, security and history were tailored to broadening the horizon and intellectual capacity of the students, adding the three best schools go home with free science texbooks and branded exercise notebooks for participants of each school.
While appreciating the participants, the director general of OSSC, Engr. Chatta Ubaid, said that the organisation would continue to pursue its core mandate by impacting on education and creating awareness for the students to support the candidacy of APC, Ododo Ahmed Usman in the next governorship election so that consolidation on gains achieved by his boss could be sustained.
Others included state deputy protocol, Comr. Mohammed Osana, spiritual leader, Mall. Yunoos Ohzy and coordinators, thanked the teachers for their concerted efforts to inculcating morals and academic excellence in students.
