Open Letter to Chief Edward David Onoja Deputy Governor Kogi State

 Excellency Sir,

I must thank you for your resolute and humility you displayed in the face of this worst betrayal in your life, though we are not God but destiny chose it's way and you accepted the fate of Almighty God .

His Excellency sir,  we know how it fills to got a shock of your life most especially from a  trusted friend and Boss whom all your expectations was to succeed him but the going wasn't easy.

As we all know, Kogi Governorship Election is fast approaching and your silent is nolonger golden sir,  we're not having it good if you didn't talk to us sir,  for the past 8 years Kogi hasn't been finding it easy sir, we shouldn't pretend as if  all is well for us, all is not well for us sir, is it non payment of Salary, % salary payment, lack of infrastructure,insecurity, just name them!

Your plan was to succeed your Boss Alhaji Yahaya Bello  to rewrite the miserable government which you're part of it but he chose ethnicity over friendship, he chose OMAYEMIME rather than ENEMUNEME which you introduced  to Kogi east that led to killing, Election rigging just to ensure he win and  he fraudulently won at gun point, a woman who was old enough to be your mother, Mrs Salome Abuh, PDP Women leader was killed and burnt to ashes, for him to win second term as Governor. 

He decided to repay you evil  instead of good, he anointed his cousin brother whom the whole world knew you're more qualified ,more intelligent, more prepared, more capable than him, even your worst ENEMY will tipped you over Ahmed Usman Ododo, but what can we say, as the Governor and No 1 citizen of the state, he owns both the knife and the yam.

His Excellency sir, you can still rewrite your past wrongdoing sir, you can still come back home like a prodigal son who sold and squandered all his father's inheritance in a far away land, a wayward son who squanders his inheritance but returns home to find that his father forgives him(Like 15:11-32). He was forgiven and his father accepted him  as  his SON

Since your emergence as Deputy Governor Governor Yahaya Bello just only assigned you as a "representative" and "photoshoot" Deputy Governor, all your priviliges and entitlement where removed, you're not in the skim of things and how the state affairs are been run. The body languages should've tell you that Governor Yahaya Bello will never handover to an Igala man peacefully. We told you, you didn't listen, we knew right from the onset.

Last year, when President Muhammad  Buhari came to Kogi, did he came to Kogi east? Can you tell us any tangible project embark by Governor Yahaya Bello Government in eastern part of the state?

All Governor Yahaya Bello was after was to loot, reloot and use you as a HAPPY SLAVES, he reduced you to a common social media Deputy Governor, the only privilege you enjoy is to be addressed as DEPUTY GOVERNOR.

You can't continue to be loyal to a friend who all is after is personal interest, Ethnic bigotry, just to used you and dump you and he successfully used you and dumped you, he used you as an experiment and came out with his assertion that with N6000 an Igala man will exchange his wife for you.

Dear Onoja sir, at this material time, Igala Ethnic Nationality are  ready with their arms open only if you can tender an unreserved APOLOGY.  The land is crying for a good shepherd, this remind me  of our gospel reading today,  how Jesus admonishes  his disciples to pass through  sheepfold door. “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber; but he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the gatekeeper opens; the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out" John 10:1-3. Kogi as a state has failed in all angle, as no 2 citizen of the state, we need you, we are in dare need of a food shepherd.

The LABOUR of our HEROES past like Dr Stephen Achema, Prince Abubakar Audu, Ameh-Oboni, Inikpi shall never be in vain. We're not asking too much, all we're asking of you is to come back home, come back home,  talk to us, we need a good shepherd,  your brothers are ready to forgive you sir. We want to buried all grudges, we need a united family.
