Examination Malpractice: Education Task Force Blows Hot Over Malpractice and other related vices.

 _Kogi Government will sanction erring principal, school_.

The  Central Coordinator, Muhammad Yusuf  has stated that the Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology under the able leadership of Hon. Wemi Jones would  tackle the rate of examination malpractice in the state.

The Kogi State Government has restated that examination malpractices will not be condoned in the state again.

The Kogj State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones,  ably represented by the Director of schools and Colleges, Mr. Salami Ayire Mathew (Pastor)  gave the warning on Friday during a meeting he held with the Kogi Chapter of All Nigerian Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS),  held at Government Secondary school, Iruvucheba, Okene.

In his words, ” let me use this medium to caution you that the State government will not hesitate to deal with any Principal or School found wanting on his duties during the forthcoming WAEC/NECO examinations. As we all know, the West African School Certificate examination will start on 16th May, 2023″.

According to ETF Secretary General, Adabara Abduljalil El-Okene said students and their collaborators have devised various means of examination malpractice, worsened with the advent of the social media.

He stated that in addition to this, Task Force will be moving round to arrest and prosecute anybody that is aiding and abetting examination malpractices or involved in any form of sharp practices around the school premises.

According to him, all stakeholders must rise to kill examination malpractice before it kills education in the state, because the dearth of education is a dearth of a nation.

Also speaking at the forum are Mr Ajinamoh Raphael Zonal Directors, Adavi/Okehi and Mr Salihu Obaro Zonal Director Okene/Ogori/Magongo LG urged stakeholders in the education sector to collaborate with the relevant agencies to fight against the menace.

"Schools, society and WAEC are all suspects and examination malpractice has been a major distraction to the us,’’ Ajinamoh said"

He said the government was disturbed with the rising rate of examination fraud, which he said, was affecting the quality of education in the state.
