Kogi APPEALS has emerged 3rd place at the just concluded 14th edition of the National Agricultural Show “Youth and Women in Agriculture seminar held at the National Agricultural show Ground, Abuja –Keffi way, Nassarawa State.
The organizers noted that the award is in recognition of the effort of the project in creating jobs by empowering women and youth groups in agriculture in the state and the quality of our farm produce and products displayed at the event.Speaking at the occasion Barrister Nkiruka Stella Okonkwo, Chief Executive Officer, Fresh & Young Brains Development Initiative, part of the organizers of the show noted that as key stakeholders in the agricultural sector of the country, there is urgent need to reposition youth and women farmers by overcoming challenges of climate change, insecurity and high cost of production through engendering gender-responsive budgeting, research, technology, capacity building, programing policy and legal frameworks.
At this year’s edition, dignitaries and guests from different parts of the country trooped in to the KOGI APPEALS stand to glance through farm produce and products showcased from five value chains of aqua culture, poultry, rice, cashew and cassava, and cutting across the production, processing and marketing segments.
The 2022 national agricultural show featured the opening ceremony, agricultural produce and products exhibitions, interactive session, display of assorted agricultural equipment and machineries, display of new agricultural technologies, cultural and road shows.

The national agricultural show was organized as part of activities to mark this year’s World Food Day celebration with the team “Leave no One Behind, Better Production, Better Nutrition, A Better Environment and A Better Life”
