APC's Ododo Leads in Kogi Governorship Poll.

According to Sahara Reporters, The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Usman Ahmed Ododo is currently leading in the Kogi State governorship election. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) began the official announcement of results, revealing that Ododo has won in 11 out of the 17 council areas announced.

As of the latest update, the results for Adavi, Ajaokuta, Ankpa, Bassa, Dekina, Idah, Ijumu, Kabba-Bunu, Kogi, Mopamuro, Ofu, Okehi, Okene, Olamaboro, Omala, Yagba East, and Yagba West have been declared. Ododo secured a total of 417,166 votes, while the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, Murtala Ajaka follows with 208,503 votes. Dino Melaye the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate is currently in third place with 41,925 votes.

Ododo's victories include Adavi, Ajaokuta, Bassa, Ijumu, Kabba-Bunu, Kogi, Mopamuro, Ogori Magongo, Okehi, Okene, and Yagba West local government areas. Ajaka won in Ankpa, Idah, Dekina, Ofu, Olamaboro, and Omala local government areas. The ADC candidate, Leke Abejide secured a win in Yagba East.

The official announcement of results is ongoing and the final outcome of the election is yet to be declared by INEC.
