The Ododo School to School 1st Annual Inter- Secondary School Debate Competition held in Okene 1 district was successfully done and dusted. It was a massive achievement and Success to the able organizers.
The Inter-School debate Competition took place on 19th September 2023 at the Okene town hall, Inike Okene kogi state. There was almost 15 different Schools that took part in the debate competition, which included Demonstration Standard College Onyukoko, Model Standard College Bariki, Al-hilal Islamic Model College Inike, FSP Model College Inike, "OCCSS Anyava, Royal High Central College Idare, College of Institution & Arabic Studies, CAISO, Government Day Secondary Sch. Ahache, SAHIBA Islamic Bright Academy Ahogede, L.G. S.S Ohiana, Government Day Sec. Sch. Iruvucheba, L. G. E. A Standard College Lafia, Markaz, L. G. S. S Upogoro and Standard College, Okuhanatahu. Two participants from each school with some cheerful audience. The highly respected fellows that also attended the honourable event, are; District head Okene local government Alh. Muritala Inakakana and his cabinet ward heads and other special guests.
The event was organised to campaign for our future Governor Alh⋅ Ododo Ahmed Usman and to also show his mindset in developing the kogi state basic education. The other purpose of the debate competition was to checkmate the standard of education student are still obtaining and how far they have gone in their academic activities. Especially when they're ask to present themselves publicly.
Luckily, we were highly amazed by the student though and we also gifted them with a high quality of books to help them in their school activities.
The district head of Okene also comment alot about how the students amazed him. He also mentioned how he so much likes the debating society and also encourage the students to engaged more and put alot of effort in their day to day activities of the school.
He also prayed for Alh. Ododo Ahmad Usman the APC candidate of Kogi state Governorship upcoming election for his successfulness, he prayed for the Great Nigerian students and the whole country at large.
Finally, the achievement we're after so far is the betterment of the educational background of our state, KOGI.
And we're praying to the Almighty God to answer our prayers š
