Kogi Government begins payment of newly recruited teachers.

The State Government has commenced the payment of newly recruited teachers  under the employment of the State Government, The Inside News has reliably gathered.

The Nigeria News had earlier on 4th reported how some are underpaid. .

The effects of this pay disparity are serious, and it is quickly developing into a serious confusion. A Level 8 received the sum of N46,000 plus while the same cader received N56, 000 plus, government should check as a mater of urgency. 

STESTCOM should confirm pay discrepancy, they need to investigate what caused the discrepancy in order to resolve it. 

Better pay, better teachers. We urge the State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Finance, Budget and National Planning to confirm this ugly trend. 

 “I can confirm to you that they have started receiving their salaries. They have not  also received the arrears of the peculiar allowances. All arrears of salaries was not paid along”.

Confirming the development, one of the benefiting teachers in Okehi Local government area said, “It is true.

“We have started receiving. Though we only got the one for July 2023, we have been reassured that the arrears will be cleared.”
