Kogi 2023: BoT Chair Leads OSSC Delegation to ICC

In a concerted efforts of political support groups to have synergy, harmonious working relationship and possible integration during the campaign for the resounding victory of APC's leading candidate in the state, Ododo Ahmed Usman, ahead of governorship election comes November 11, 2023, the BoT Chairman of the Ododo School to School Campaign (OSSC) organisation, Engr. Aliyu Omeiza Muhammad led the OSSC delegation to the Chairman of the Independent Campaign Council for Ododo Movement, Alhaji Adams Onota.

In his solidarity message, Engr. Aliyu Omeiza Muhammad commended Adams Onota and his team at ICC for the coordinating and strategic roles they have been playing to ensure victory is achieved during election. He pledged his total support for the Ododo/Joel Mandate because of his interest in the education of the teeming youths in the state, stressing that if this mandate is victorious, the education sector would receive accelerated facelift.

On his part, the Vice Chairman of BoT for the Ododo School to School Campaign (OSSC) organisation, Hon. Ismail Lawal Muhammad was elated with the leadership and transition development of OSSC in record time. Inspite of the meagre resources at his disposal, he promised to remain committed for actualization of this Kogi Project (Ododo/Joel Ticket). 

A louding voice for the youths at the grassroot, Comr. Abdulrasheed Adabara Ovosi, the Special Adviser to the BoT, saluted the resilient leadership of ICC Chairman, Adams Onota, he said "my grassroot sensitisation for Ododo started in earnest before I was nominated as a Special Adviser by OSSC. I was appointed as the Secretary of GYB Campaign Council in 2019 electioneering and I would ensure that my experience is brought to bear to squarely defeat our opponents in the forthcoming election, Abdulrasheed said.

Responding, Engr. Muhammed Ohize, a strong member of ICC praised the entire OSSC family for its wonderful initiatives by adding value, sensitising students and invariably penetrating the heart of parents to support Ododo as the best candidate to beat in the 2023 election.

In his speech, the Coordinator of ICC, Hon. Yakubu Isa Omade, tutored the OSSC delegation about their core function as a coordinating unit and bridge builder between the Party structure and Orphans (political support groups) in complementing the Party's efforts. In his detailed analysis, he mentioned that about forty (40) groups have been registered with ICC in line with the requirements, adding that OSSC was one of the registered organisations who deserves their encouragement and support for the Ododo sensitisation drive.

Addressing the delegation, the digital ICC Chairman, Hon. Adams Onota, appreciated the executive governor of Kogi state, His Excellency, Yahaya Adoza Bello, for the confidence, courage and conducive atmosphere given the youths to aspire for any position of their choices as against the past political system in the state. He equally applauded the unwavering support of the BoT Chairman for the provision of operational vehicles to Kogi Project (Ododo/Joel Movement) for a seamless sensitisation, adding that the optimism is high for the party to launch campaign soon.

In their separate address, the Convener, Comr. Umar Adabara Abduljelil, assessed the journey so far, evaluated the next action plan and dropped the hints on how OSSC intend to sensitise the market women for PVC collections across the state. The Director General, Comr. Engr. Chatta Ubaid, unveiled the Special Adviser to the BoT and highlighted the next activities of the group. 

Kogi Central Deputy Coordinator, Comr. Peter Audu and College Mother, Comr. Salihu Eze, in their vote of thanks, prayed, thanked the ICC team for their pivotal roles and pledged the unalloyed loyalty of OSSC in the execution of its mandates.
