Speech deliverd by the Director Genreal Ododo School to School Campaign, Engr. Ubaid Chatta at Kofi State Polytechnic, Lokoja
To the glory of God Almighty, let me first of all thank our leader, His excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for his wonderful job to have given maximum supports to Ododo, the flowerboy, the mantle of leadership in the next dispensation.
The governor's purposeful leadership has been occasioned in the security, infrastructural sectors of the economy and inclusive governance, all these formed parts of his tremendous records and significant success across the three senatorial districts.
He is a forward looking and focused nationalist that is strongly building the future leaders for economic prosperity and political development for the people of Kogi state.
My gratitude to the Special Guest of Honour, Commissioner for Education, a workaholic personality who has been very meticulous in pursuing the policies and programmes' implementation in the education sector, Hon. Wemi Ojo Jones.
My huge appreciation also goes to our host, a revered mentor in the academia, the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Usman Ogboh Salisu rector.
The Ododo School to School Campaign is pleased to use this glorious opportunity to declare our
unalloyed support for our leading candidate in the scheduled November 11 governorship
election in Kogi State, Hon. Ododo Ahmed Usman.
The Ododo School to School Campaign (OSSC) group with the slogan: "Education is the bedrock of
development" is a political support organization, an offshoot of Kogi state Education Taskforce, a non-governmental organization that has been in partnership with the Kogi State Ministry of
Education under the able leadership of Hon. Wemi Jones FCIB, in providing the needed
technical assistance towards achieving standard education in our dear state.
The core mandate of Ododo School to School Campaign group in Kogi State is to market the unique
product and rich profiles of our party, APC's candidates to the schools and colleges across Kogi State. This is borne out
of the fact that the chunk voting population in the state is mostly youth with a reasonable
percentage of students.
While I am sure of Ododo's resounding victory in the next election via field work and community engagement, the Ododo School to School Campaign (OSSC) as a focused and creative group has developed a blueprint for the support of incoming and progressive administration of Ododo's team for the sustainability of good governance.
I wish to recommend the implementation of the following itemized points as follows;
A. Compulsory Basic Education for our pupils in the state.
B. The teacher's welfare package could be reviewed holistically with the aims of lifting their
morals.
C. The government should constitute effective Bursary Management and scholarship board for
robustness and efficiency.
D. Upward review of salary structure and other benefits to enhance motivations and effective
teaching in the system.
E. The pension should be reviewed in line with the economic realities, therefore, providing a
conducive environment for learning and accessibility for Kogi people.
To this end, our gratitude to the Hon. (Dr) Abdulmumin Danga, Commissioner for Water Resources, Mrs. Cecilia Cook, Executive
Chairman STETSCOM, Dr Usman Ogbo, Rector KSP, students, party members and other stakeholders for reposing confidence in the Ododo's project and the Convener, Comrade Adabara Abduljalil El-Okene for his commitments and determination for this project.
By the grace of God, we are optimistic of a overwhelming victory comes November 11 election.
By
