Enesi said the forum would mobilise massive support for Chief Obaro during the APC primary election and the general election, stressing that members of the forum are fully committed to ensuring his victory.
He made the declaration on Saturday in Lokoja during a sensitisation workshop on the rights and political inclusion of the people of Okehi and Adavi Local Government Areas in Kogi Central Senatorial District. The programme was organised by the Egbira Kaneri Foundation and supported by the Political Leadership Institute.
According to him, Chief Obaro possesses the leadership experience, political maturity, and grassroots connection needed to provide quality representation for the people of Kogi Central.
“We are waiting for Chief Obaro to complete the screening process successfully. Once that is done, we will mobilise massively and give him our total and overwhelming support,” Enesi said.
“We are not self-appointed promoters; we are loyal supporters who believe in his capacity to deliver meaningful development to our people. Leaders from old Okehi and Ajaokuta will come together at the appropriate time to unite our people behind his aspiration.”
Enesi, a former Director in the Federal Ministry of Works, noted that the forum believes Chief Obaro’s return to active politics would bring renewed hope and progress to the Ebira nation.
He explained that one of Chief Obaro’s major priorities would be the provision of potable water projects across communities, empowerment programmes for women, and employment opportunities for youths through agriculture and livestock farming.
According to him, many women facing financial hardship due to loan burdens would benefit from economic support initiatives and empowerment schemes aimed at improving their standard of living.
Speaking on leadership and accountability, Enesi emphasised the need for integrity and transparency in public office. He urged political parties and relevant institutions to ensure that only credible candidates with clean records are entrusted with leadership responsibilities.
He further called on security agencies and political stakeholders to uphold fairness, due process, and justice in the screening of political aspirants ahead of the 2027 elections.
Enesi added that the people of Kogi Central are more interested in leaders who can provide development, good governance, economic growth, youth empowerment, and effective representation rather than politics driven by personal interests.
He also commended the Director-General of the Obaro Support Group, Alhaji Kokori Abdul Siaka, former Kogi State PDP Secretary, and Elder Andy Teacher Enebe for their continued engagement and support toward community development and political awareness in the district.
The event attracted stakeholders, community leaders, political supporters, and youths from different parts of Kogi Central who gathered to discuss the future of the district and the importance of inclusive leadership.
