Senate Seat: “It Is My Turn”: Chief Momoh Yusuf Obaro Declares Senate Bid"

Chief Momoh Yusuf Obaro has declared his intention to contest for a seat in the Senate at the National Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on his background and experience, Chief Obaro emphasized his wide connections across the country, built through his education and business engagements. He described himself as the most unifying figure among the aspirants, noting that his leadership would foster inclusiveness and development across all communities.

In a statement delivered to journalists by his political ally, Mr. Andy Enebe, he said:

“It is Obaro’s turn to become Senator. If elected, he will represent the collective interest of the Ebira people. He is committed to working in every corner of Ebiraland.

Remember, he is the only aspirant who has maintained the same phone line for over 20 years. He remains accessible and will continue to answer calls from the people even as a Senator. He will not disconnect from the grassroots.

We are calling on all Ebira sons and daughters to support and pray for him, because indeed, it is his turn.”

The phrase “It is his turn” echoes the popular political slogan “Emi lo kan” used by Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his presidential campaign, which translates to “It is my turn.”

Chief Obaro’s ambition has reportedly received strong backing from elders and youths across Okehi, Adavi, Ajaokuta, and Ogori-Magongo Local Government Areas, reflecting growing grassroots support for his candidacy.
