Kogi Central 2027 Senate Race: Daudus Enyene Leaders Rally Behind Obaro

Obaro Gains Strong Endorsement from Daudus/Enyene Leaders Ahead of 2027 Kogi Central Senate Race

Women traditional leaders known as Daudus Enyene from the Agada sub-clan in Okene have declared their support for Chief Momoh Yusuf Obaro ahead of the Kogi Central Senatorial District political contest.

The endorsement was made during a formal gathering hosted by their elder brother, Andy Enebe, who received the women leaders in a meeting described as a convergence of respected women of influence within the community.

The Daudus Enyene are women of high moral standing and proven leadership who have, over the years, played key roles in supporting Chief Obaro’s political journey. Their dedication to community service and political mobilization earned them recognition by the Agada sub-clan, which subsequently conferred on them the traditional title of Daudus, representing women leaders in the clan.

Community sources explained that the recognition of the Daudus aligns with cultural values that uphold gender balance in traditional leadership. While men traditionally hold chieftaincy titles, women who are divinely recognized by Allah for wisdom, respect, and leadership are equally deserving of traditional honors. Many of the Daudus previously served as women leaders in political and religious organizations before attaining their current traditional status.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the spokeswoman, Rabiyat Ogido, expressed excitement over Chief Obaro’s return to active politics. She described him as a veteran politician whose calm, principled, and people-oriented style of leadership distinguishes him from others.

According to her, the women are confident that Chief Obaro possesses the experience and vision required to provide effective representation for the people of Kogi Central. She further assured that the Daudus Enyene would mobilize grassroots support and promote unity across communities within the senatorial district.

The endorsement adds to growing political support for Chief Momoh Yusuf Obaro as preparations intensify toward the Kogi Central senatorial race.
