This declaration is made on behalf of the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District, particularly the Ebira nation, whose patience is wearing thin under persistent neglect.
OUR CORE DEMANDS
1. Provision of Basic Water Infrastructure
Access to clean and regular water supply remains a luxury in Ebira land and surrounding communities.
Water is not a political gift; it is a basic human right.
We demand immediate intervention through boreholes, water schemes, and sustainable infrastructure.
2. Rehabilitation of Schools in Kogi Central
Kogi Central reportedly has less than 47 functional primary and secondary schools, many of which are in deplorable condition.
We demand:
Total rehabilitation of all existing primary and secondary schools
Provision of furniture, learning materials, and qualified teachers
Education is the foundation of development, and neglecting it is a direct attack on the future of our children.
3. Reconstruction of an Ultra-Modern Motor Garage in Oken
The existing motor park infrastructure in Okene does not reflect:
The population size
The economic importance of the area
Modern safety and transport standards
We demand the rebuilding of an ultra-modern motor garage in Okene to boost commerce, safety, and urban dignity.
4. E-Library and Digital Learning Facilities
While we acknowledge the importance of digital education, we emphasize that:
An e-library without water, functional schools, and basic infrastructure is misplaced priority.
Any digital project must follow basic human needs, not replace them.
5. Road Network Reality Check
Road construction alone does not solve hardship.
Under the current economic reality:
How many people can afford cars?
How many roads serve communities without water, schools, or jobs?
Development must be people-centered, not statistics-centered.
A POLITICAL WARNING
Your Excellency, Ahmed Usman Ododo, your re-election bid is at stake.
The political signs increasingly resemble the 2015 Nigerian general election, where a sitting president, Goodluck Jonathan, lost power despite incumbency.
Likewise, history reminds us of Kogi State, where Governor Wada also lost under similar conditions of public discontent.
The Association of Nigerian Witches has always done a thorough job—symbolically and politically—where leaders ignore the cries of the people.
OUR STAND
These demands represent only Kogi Central
Kogi West and Kogi East will present their demands in due course.
Deadline: All demands must be meaningfully addressed on or before the first week of September 2026.
Failure to act will be interpreted as deliberate neglect of the Ebira people.
This is not a threat.
This is a final call for responsible governance.
Let development be felt in homes, schools, water taps, and daily life—not only in speeches and billboards.
