The visit underscored the party’s resolve to deepen unity, strengthen internal cohesion, and consolidate political support across the Central Senatorial District. Governor Ododo commended Hon. Damisa for his unwavering loyalty to the APC and his consistent support for the present administration, as well as for sustaining the political legacy of former Governor Yahaya Bello (GYB). He described Hon. Damisa as a dependable and influential party leader whose experience and grassroots reach continue to enhance the stability and growth of the APC in Kogi State.
In his remarks, the APC State Chairman praised Hon. Damisa’s strategic contributions to party organization, grassroots mobilization, and electoral success. He noted that many of the party’s achievements in Kogi State are built on the dedication and sacrifices of committed leaders such as Hon. Damisa, whose role remains central to the party’s strength.
Responding, Hon. Ahmed Tijani Damisa warmly welcomed the Governor and the party leadership, reaffirming his total and unflinching commitment to the APC and the Ododo-led administration. He pledged to intensify mobilization efforts and continue to support policies and programs aimed at inclusive development and improved welfare for the people of Kogi State.
Hon. Damisa’s political structure is anchored by five strong support platforms: the Asuehi Central Working Committee, led by former NUT Chairman in Okene, Hon. Ezzu Hadid; the Asuehi Group, led by Hon. Akinloye; the Asuehi Support Group, led by Comrade Jelil Adabara; the Pressure Group, led by Ustaz Bashiru; and the Asuehi Network, led by Hon. Suleiman Ajela. These groups form the core of his political foot soldiers and have collectively reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the re-election of His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in 2027, returning him to Lugard House.
