KOGI GOVT BOOSTS GRASSROOT REPRESENTATION WITH WARDS SPECIAL ASSISTANT APPOINTMENTS.
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has APPROVED THE APPOINTMENT OF WARD SPECIAL ASSISTANT marking a significant milestone in his administration's efforts to decentralize governance and bring democracy closer to the people.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Pastor Folashade Ayoade, the Ward Special Assistants will be deployed across the 236 wards in the state, ensuring that every ward has not less than three ward representatives to interface with the government.
This move is proof of Governor Ododo's commitment to grassroots governance and his desire to empower citizens at the local level.
Since his assumption of office on January 27, 2024, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has been dedicated to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Kogi State, spanning all 21 local government areas. The appointment of Ward Special Assistants is a further demonstration of his resolve to bridge the gap between the government and the governed.
The newly appointed Ward Special Assistants will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between the government and the people, ensuring that the needs and concerns of every ward are addressed promptly.
