Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi have argued that it would be wrong to reward Paul Peter Jibril with a board appointment under Governor Ododo Ahmed Usman administration.
The stakeholders in a statement on Saturday said incumbent Executive Chairman STETSCOM, Mrs Cecilia Cook Enezoza and Hon. Wemi Jones, both was at the epicenter of the jinx-breaking students/youths result for Ododo election in Kogi State, and Cook should be allowed to benefit from the fruits of her labor. The statement was signed by Comrade Sultan Saad Danladi, the Kogi West Deputy Coordinator of the group.
The statement reads in part, “It is already a known fact that the Paul Peter Jibril-led State NAPTAN faction remained implacable, adamant, and firmly resolved not to support Ododo, even after Ododo Ahmed Usman emerged from a free, fair, and credible Governorship Primary Election. He show liitle cooncerned when Mr. Joseph Oyibo was nominated as running mate to Ododo, and to solicit his support for the Party yet he lost his polling unit to Igala Agenda SDP candidate Ajaka.
“It is annoying to see Paul Peter Jibril and his supporters claiming to have supported Ododo’s emergence when the reverse is clearly the case. We felt sad when we heard that he was announced to head a board.
The stakeholders explained that since Peter Paul Jibril and his group claimed to defected from PDP to the APC, they have not campaigned for ODODO in any way.
We challenge Peter to provide evidence of any engagement where OAU was mentioned or any campaign logo of OAU/APC was displayed or worn after he joined the APC.
“INEC records show that NAPTAN Chairman Paul Peter comfortably delivered the two pulling units in his family house to Agenda party, SDP, in the governorship election. His ward was delivered to the SDP seamlessly. So, what is the foundation for the entitlement he is about to benefits?
