40 years After Dad Death Still in Our Memory - Family

Forty years after, still as fresh as it was yesterday, all the children that were born on that day, had grown into adulthood, married, birthed children, working and living a worthwhile life. It wasn't easy but we survived, glory be to God, who knows best and does the best. Your departure no doubt was a big setback for us. We may not be where you desired and aspired for us but with confidence in the love of Almighty God we will get there, your destiny will be fulfilled; if not in your children, certainly in your grandchildren.

As we reminisce over your death, the circumstances that surrounded it and our harrowing experiences growing up, we give thanks to God, that in spite of every pain we faced we are still alive ringing your name for good.

We miss you Daddy, we just got through this journey, living without you was hellish, since you were everything to us, only God may know why your death happened to us at the prime time of your life and in our own innocence.

As they put off the light for you, unknowingly, they put off the light for themselves. How can they say we are finished when they didn't bargain with God? In their thoughtlessness they fought so dirty for the present but ended up losing their future.

When you left us, the entire landscape of our life changed. We grieve for the loss of your place in our lives.

Your love remains steadily underneath our pain. And we take that love with us into each new day and year in whatever way we can. Because we love you deeply, we love you forever. Rest peacefully in the right hand of the Lord, Siyaka Umoru Adabara.
