On the winding up of campaign activities, the Ododo School to School Campaign (OSSC) organisation led by his sagacious director general, Engr. Chatta Ubeid, was in Uboro Community Secondary School, Okehi local government area on Friday to sensitise the school management and students.
The OSSC team, who was given warm reception by his host, informed them of giant strides achieved by Governor Yahaya Bello (GYB) in the education sector of the state. Thereafter, the group distributed school writing materials and exercise books to the entire students.
In his message, the director general of the organisation, Engr. Chatta Ubeid, told the students that OSSC is a nongovernmental organisation made up of visionary youths driven by selfless service to humanity. He said, "We are selfless and nongovernmental group with the objective to impact on humanity, particularly in assisting government to translating its policies to realities in education.
"I am informing you today that the administration of GYB has officially declared Free Education for students within the category of Basic and Post-primary level in Kogi state. It means that UBE, Junior and Senior WAECs would be free without liabilities to parents.
"In view of the above, I want to remind you that this declaration of incentives in education by APC led government would be consolidated by Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman when we vote him massively into the Lugard House comes November 11 governorship election.
While responding, the Vice Principal for Academic of the school, Salihu ILamidi, expressed confidence and optimism that Ododo Ahmed Usman would win squarely because of his proven track records and fingerprints of humanitarian interventions in health and education sectors. He charged students to inform parents, households and neighbours by ensuring the message go viral in their communities ahead of November 11 off-cycle election.
