Hajia Onize who is the Convener of Hajia Onize Connect for Ododo/Oyibo secured the commitment of the people to deliver massive votes for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU) in the November 11th governorship election during a mini-rally….
While appreciating the unprecedented recognition of women and youths in the current New Direction Administration of Governor Yahaya Bello, the women who expressed optimism that Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman would deepen women's inclusiveness in his government vowed to mobilise and canvas more support for the APC.
Hajia Wokili and Hajia Shefi in their separate remarks noted that gone are those days in which women were relegated to the background after each electoral victory in Kogi State, adding that with the breath of fresh air, women are now Permanent Secretaries, Secretary to the State Government, Head of Service, Council Leaders, Vice-Chairpersons and several other sensitive positions.
"We sincerely call on the people of Kogi State to align themselves with the people-centred programmes and vision of the APC by voting massively for Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman. We cannot at this point turn our back against a government that has given us the highest relevance women have ever enjoyed since the creation of Kogi State. Come November 11th, we will all go out to massively vote for the broom party,” they vowed.
The visibly excited Hajia Onize Yakubu commended members of Hajia Onize Connect for Ododo/Oyibo, Fancy Liberation Network (FLN), Fancy Women Network, Ebira Vonya Women Groups, Kennedy Women Group and several other grassroots mobilisation campaign groups rooting for Alhaji Ododo for their patriotic show of love.
Hajia Onize specifically eulogized former Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Momohjimoh Lawal (Kennedy) for his timely decision to throw his weight behind the governorship bid of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman. She added that with the former Speaker in the camp of the All Progressives Congress, there is virtually no opposition in Abuga/Ozuja Ward and Okengwe in general.
The Convener of Hajia Onize Connect for Ododo/Oyibo who further affirmed that Alhaji Ododo represents sustainable and consolidated development of Kogi State, urged all the women and youths to obtain and jealously guide their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) which she said is the only instrument to seal the impending victory of the All Progressives Congress in the November 11th election.
"Let's continue to be united and speak with one voice in this election. Governor Yahaya Bello is a visionary leader with an impeccable political pedigree that commands national respect. We must support his vision of having a new and united Kogi where government's decisions are not based on factors that tend to polarize the state,” she implored.
