The OSSC called on Kogites to put the interest of the state above selfish interests, using religion as a motivation for the love of the citizens, unity and peaceful coexistence.
In his Eid-el Kabir message to the good people of Kogi state, the Convener of OSSC, Comrade Umar Adabara Abduljelil emphasised that religion, rather than being used as a mere badge of identity, should be a motivator for good doings for the humanity.
He used the occasion to call on Muslims to reflect on the significance of the sacrifice epitomized by Eid as well as promote the virtues of Islam, calling on Kogi Muslims, especially those participating in this year’s Hajj, to redouble their prayers for the resounding victory of Ododo in the next November governorship election.
In the same vein, the Director General, Engr. Chatta Ubaid has rejoiced with Nigerian Muslims and people in the state on the occasion of this Eid-el-Kabir celebrations. He noted that the period calls for sacrifice and commitment to the service of the Almighty ALLAH.
Engr. Chatta Ubaid expressed optimism that with prayers, Kogi will overcome her challenges, calling for special prayers for the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming governorship elections.
